Beginning SUP Lesson 8/10/12

We were happy to accomodate many new riders out on the water this past weekend. Conditions were favorable, so the group started to paddle south against light wind towards Anastasia State Park. The tide was low, forcing us to find our way through the deeper channels to avoid getting stuck. Further down, we found a sandbar. Many of us stepped off our boards and waded through the shallow water to cool off. During that time, we talked more specifically about paddling technique and the different categories of SUP boards. This kind of discussion is valuable to our clients because they get much more information about SUP, in addition to first-hand experience on the water. Once we headed back towards the dock, the upcoming tide was moving against us, but the wind helped push us in the right direction. It was a fun and relaxing group lesson. Thanks everyone!
